Saudi Arabia’s drive to become a global logistics powerhouse received another boost as Bahri Logistics accelerated its expansion strategy through a major partnership with Red Sea Global and the opening of two new ship agency offices at key ports across the Kingdom. Together, these developments underscore the company’s growing role in supporting national supply chains, maritime services, and the ambitions of Vision 2030.

As Saudi Arabia continues to invest heavily in logistics infrastructure and economic diversification, Bahri Logistics, the logistics arm of the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri), is positioning itself at the centre of the Kingdom’s evolving trade and transportation landscape. Recent initiatives signal a dual-track strategy focused on expanding operational capabilities while deepening strategic customer relationships.

A significant milestone came with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Bahri Logistics and Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind the Kingdom’s flagship regenerative tourism destinations, The Red Sea and AMAALA.

Red Sea Global is an existing client of Bahri Logistics, and the agreement reflects the evolution of this long-standing relationship into a broader framework for long-term cooperation in logistics and supply chain management.

Under the MoU, both organisations will explore opportunities to develop integrated logistics solutions tailored to RSG’s growing operational and project requirements. The collaboration is expected to support the complex logistics demands associated with large-scale tourism developments while contributing to the wider objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

“Our relationship with Red Sea Global reflects the value of working very closely with our clients to understand their evolving requirements and support their long-term ambitions,” said Mohammed Alsinan, Vice President of Bahri Logistics. He noted that the agreement provides a foundation for expanding collaboration and developing integrated logistics solutions that deliver sustained value to both organisations.

The partnership was announced during the official launch of the Bahri Logistics Bonded Zone at Jeddah Islamic Port, a strategic logistics facility designed to provide bonded storage, streamlined customs processes and value-added logistics services. The new facility is expected to play a critical role in supporting increasingly sophisticated supply chains by enhancing the movement, storage and processing of goods.

Located at one of the Kingdom’s most important maritime gateways, the bonded zone aims to improve supply chain efficiency, increase operational flexibility and facilitate access to domestic and regional markets. The development aligns with Saudi Arabia’s ambitions to strengthen logistics infrastructure and improve the resilience of national supply chains.

For Red Sea Global, logistics capabilities are becoming increasingly important as it advances its portfolio of tourism destinations. The MoU also supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transport and Logistics Strategy by contributing to the development of advanced logistics infrastructure, facilitating trade and strengthening the efficiency and resilience of supply chains across the kingdom, Bahri said in a statement.

Opens two new ship agency offices

In parallel with its strategic partnership initiatives, Bahri Logistics has been expanding its maritime services network across Saudi Arabia. Earlier this month, the company announced the opening of two new ship agency offices at Yanbu Commercial and Industrial Ports on the Red Sea coast and Ras Tanura Industrial Port on the Arabian Gulf.

The expansion strengthens Bahri Logistics’ presence at several of the country’s most strategically important ports serving the energy, industrial and shipping sectors. The new locations complement the company’s existing operations at Jubail Commercial and Industrial Ports, Ras Al Khair Port, Jeddah Islamic Port, King Abdullah Port and King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam.

By extending its footprint across both Saudi coasts, Bahri Logistics is enhancing its ability to provide faster and more efficient support to customers operating in the oil and gas, petrochemicals and industrial sectors. In addition, the Yanbu and Ras Tanura offices will function as coordination centres supported by advanced digital systems and Bahri’s nationwide network, helping accelerate port procedures and increase transparency in service delivery.

According to Alsinan, the expansion reflects a commitment to bringing services closer to customers while strengthening operational efficiency across the supply chain.
