Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC Group), one of the region’s leading providers of integrated and cross-border logistics solutions, has expanded its presence in the UAE through the launch of two new subsidiaries, a strategic partnership with Meydan Free Zone, and the continued growth of its quick-commerce network.
The developments reinforce the company’s integrated regional platform, enhancing connectivity between customers in Qatar and key markets across the GCC, GWC Group said.
During the first half of 2026 (H1 2026), the group further strengthened its UAE capabilities while operating alternative sea-land and air-land routes linking Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain during periods of regional disruption.

Strengthening a regional network
GWC Group’s UAE operations, located at National Industries Park, serve as a key link between businesses in the Emirates, Qatar and the company’s broader GCC logistics network.
Building on this platform and in response to growing customer demand, the group established two new UAE-based subsidiaries focused on supporting the commercial trading and energy sectors.
The company also formalised a strategic partnership with Meydan Free Zone, streamlining market entry and company formation services with GWC Group’s logistics, warehousing and distribution capabilities across Qatar and other GCC markets.
Expanding multimodal trade corridors
During H1 2026, GWC Group operated three multimodal trade corridors across the GCC, including a TIR-enabled air-land route via Hamad International Airport, offering customers additional options for moving critical cargo and essential goods between Qatar and regional markets.

The new developments reinforce the company’s integrated regional platform
Sheikh Abdulla Bin Fahad Bin Jassim Bin Jaber Al Thani, Managing Director of GWC Group, said: “The capabilities we have built in Qatar remain the foundation of our regional growth. Our expansion in the UAE forms part of our long-term commitment to building a more connected logistics network across the region. We will continue investing in infrastructure, advanced logistics solutions and strategic partnerships that support business continuity, expand access to markets and strengthen trade across the GCC.”
Growth in Oman and Saudi Arabia
Alongside its UAE expansion, GWC Group continued to grow its operations in Oman and Saudi Arabia.
In Oman, the company expanded its freight forwarding, contract logistics, cold-chain and cross-border services, including the completion of one of the Sultanate’s first frozen bulk vessel operations.
In Saudi Arabia, the group inaugurated GWC Al Nakheel, a Grade-A ambient cross-docking facility in Jeddah, further enhancing its cold-chain and regional distribution capabilities.
Matthew Kearns, CEO of GWC Group, said: “What differentiates our proposition is the ability to connect customers in Qatar with capabilities across the GCC rather than serve each market in isolation. By strengthening the wider regional network serving Qatar and key GCC markets, our expanded UAE presence provides faster, more seamless access to markets and greater flexibility in moving and distributing goods across the region.”
Backed by a regional logistics platform spanning 20 strategic locations across the GCC, a global network reaching more than 120 countries through over 550 freight partners, more than four million sq m of logistics infrastructure, and annual freight volumes exceeding two million tonnes, GWC Group continues to extend the capabilities developed in Qatar across an integrated regional platform linking the country with the UAE and wider GCC markets.
