Caparol, the German premium paints and coatings brand, has signed a strategic agreement with Nasib Industrial Products in Kenya and, together with its local partners, will double production capacity in the country to meet rising demand across East Africa.

The agreement expands Caparol’s local production, distribution and market presence, and positions Kenya as a manufacturing and supply hub for neighbouring markets. It builds on the dedicated Africa office Caparol opened in 2025, which has led the company’s regional business development since.

"Africa represents one of the most exciting long-term growth opportunities for Caparol. The development we have seen in Kenya over the past year has exceeded our expectations and clearly demonstrates the potential for our brand and product portfolio across the continent," said Dirk Schilmoeller, the Managing Director Middle East & Africa, Caparol.

Growth in Kenya has been fueled by Caparol’s Africa product assortment, developed to combine German quality standards with the requirements of African markets. The range has gained traction in both professional and retail channels, and Caparol has secured a growing number of major residential, commercial and hospitality projects across the country.

"Our strengthened partnership with Nasib Industrial Products Ltd is an important milestone in this journey. We are building a scalable business platform that allows us to grow beyond Kenya, expand our reach across East Africa and, in the next phase, explore opportunities in West Africa," stated Schilmoeller.

"Our ambition is to establish Caparol as a leading premium paints and coatings brand across key African markets," he added.

The planned capacity increase will support continued growth in Kenya and allow more efficient supply to neighbouring East African countries. Local manufacturing will also improve product availability and shorten supply chains.

"The decision to significantly increase our production capacity reflects our confidence in the long-term potential of the African market," stated Schilmoeller.

"We are investing ahead of demand to ensure that our infrastructure, product availability and local capabilities can support the next phase of our expansion," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
