Abdullah Saleh Kamel
Saudi Arabia has assumed the presidency of the Union of Arab Chambers for its new term, represented by President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers and Chairman of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development, Abdullah Saleh Kamel.
Saudi Arabia succeeds the Republic of Tunisia, in accordance with the union’s system of rotating the presidency alphabetically among Arab countries, a Saudi Press Agency (SPA) report said.
The kingdom’s presidency coincides with the implementation of the union’s 2026–2030 strategy, which aims to expand Arab economic integration by stimulating investment and joint production, linking capital with investment opportunities, developing value chains, empowering small and medium-sized enterprises, and enhancing private-sector participation in setting Arab economic priorities.
Joint Arab investment
The next phase will prioritise joint Arab investment, productive integration, food and industrial security, and digital transformation, while strengthening the integration of the Arab business community into regional and global value chains.
The kingdom’s presidency comes as Saudi Vision 2030 enters its third phase for the 2026–2030 period, which focuses on accelerating implementation and maximising impact.
This phase is based on continued government capital expenditure and enhancing the role of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and the National Development Fund (NDF) in stimulating domestic investment, providing a supportive economic context for expanding investment and production partnerships.—TradeArabia News Service
