Al Nimr Steel, a trading arm of the diversified Tiger Steel Group, has since 1990 developed as a major supplier of steel products in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

The company’s markets include Egypt, Sudan, Iran Pakistan and India and its reputation has been greatly enhanced as a supplier of a wide range of steel products required in the sectors of oil and gas, marine and ship building, steel fabrication, engineering and construction.
The company is able to operate effectively thanks to modern facilities such as highly automated stockyards equipped with overhead and mobile cranes and fork lifts and to the presence of a large fleet of trailers.
Al Nimr Steel has a well-connected network of offices that facilitate the supply of its products.
The stockyards and distribution centres are located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai; Al Ghusais Industrial Area, Dubai; the 12th Industrial Area off the Greenbelt Nursery in Sharjah and ICAD-2, Mussafah, Abu Dhabi.
Al Nimr Srel maintains a complete range of structural as well as flat steel products in various grades and sizes. The company says stock turnover was in excess of 250,000 tonnes in 2007 with growth of 25 per cent annually.
“Procurement has proved to be a critical success factor for the company with premium quality products sourced directly from highly reputed producers in several countries,” the company said.
“Exacting quality control procedures have been built into the procurement process right from the source and include the use of third-party quality assurance inspection and certification.
“Material traceability and conformity to international standards and specifications is assured through a proven documentation system for all material supplied by us.
“In addition, material is also sample-tested for conforming to mill test certificates from approved and reputed industrial laboratories within the UAE as and when deemed necessary.”
A new ERW tube mill of its subsidiary, Tiger Steel Industries, is being expanded into a steel processing centre that will have an area of 1.38 million sq ft at ICAD-2.
