Pan Gulf Welding Solutions (PGWS), which will occupy the largest space at Gulf Industry Fair, is an exclusive representative for world-leading companies, supplying the latest technology and solutions for welding and cutting applications.
Part of Saudi-based Pan Gulf Holding, it was established in 2005 as a professional service provider to the steel fabrication and related industries.
The division now boasts of strategically located warehouses in Al-Khobar, Jeddah and Riyadh, stocking an extensive range of welding and cutting machines, consumables and spare parts right through to personal safety and protective equipment. Inventory covers all the industry requirements to get the job done.
“PGWS not only provides sales and service to its customers, it also has an extensive rental fleet of portable electric welders on 1000-tonne roll-beds in stock ready to be dispatched to the customer site,” a spokesman of the division said.
“With strong brand names, great experience and dependable services PGWS has become the first choice for contractors and fabricators alike. Partnership and reliable supply is made easy for new companies who are looking for a basic contact tip to the most sophisticated welding and cutting machines.”
PGWS started in 2006 to develop its own brand name Metweld as a result of its own experience and market needs. “Products developed under that brand have the best “price to quality” ratio and fulfill 100 per cent customer needs and quality requirements,” the spokesman commented.
As an ISO certificate holder, the division gives special attention to all safety aspects and quality procedures.
Pan Gulf Technical Services (PGTS), a branch of PGWS, has established a strong presence in Saudi Arabia and the success story has now moved on to Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar.
PGTS has appointed partners to represent it in the three states following great demand for its products and services.
It is helping meet upcoming requirements of the oil and gas industry and expansion projects that need massive heat application services.
Established in 2006, PGTS has introduced the heat induction process to Saudi Arabic and the region.
It specialises in heat applications as a rental service provider in exclusive partnership with RHS (Rapid Heat Systems)-UK. The patented induction heating technology from RHS that PGTS has introduced in this region has applications throughout the oil and gas industry, power plants and petrochemical and iron and steel facilities for heating requirements up to 815 deg C including PWHT pre-heat shrink fitting.
Among PGTS’ clients are Saudi Aramco, Sabic and its affiliates including Saudi Kayan, Al Tawleed, Encocorp, Safami, Global Tech, J&P, Cameron Al Rushaid, CCC and Al-Qahtani.

Abigail Binzel
A Germany-based company, its Push-Pull Plus – the air- and liquid-cooled torches for capacities of up to 400 A – is based on the tried-and-trusted “MB” torch neck structure.
The main areas of application for these welding torches include shipbuilding and container and tank manufacture as well as the construction of automobile and railway vehicles – in fact wherever exact and constant wire feeding is absolutely essential.
Especially developed for aluminium welding requirements and the use of thin wires, the welding torches of the Push-Pull Plus series provide trouble-free and constant wire feed, even with long cable assemblies. A powerful sturdy pull motor with potentiometer guarantees exact speed regulation. For an optimum wire feed without frictional loss, the contact pressure of the feeding rollers can be regulated precisely and easily directed on the handle. The ergonomic handle design ensures optimum and low-fatigue handling.
The screw-type torch necks can be replaced quickly. They are available as either straight or 45° angled versions. A special interface between the handle and the torch neck makes it possible to turn the necks by up to 360°.
Founded in Gieben in 1945, Abicor Binzel first MIG/MAG inert-gas shielded welding torches in 1963 and later started production of TIG inert-gas shielded welding torches.
Over the years its innovations included the central plug and socket systems that subsequently became the European and world standard; the first generation of liquid-cooled MIG/MAG inert-gas shielded welding torches, MB series; the first generation of fume extraction welding torches RAS; systems for welding using robots; the BWS; tool changing system WWS; robot-mounting system CAT; torch neck replacement system ATS-Rotor; multi-wire torches and the Master Feeder System MFS, which makes it possible for the first time to integrate aluminium welding into large-scale series production. The company has more than 30 subsidiaries and sales partners world-wide.
Its manufacturing facilities are in Germany (Buseck, Dresden), the US, Brazil, India and China.
