Welding consumables and solutions

UTP, an exhibitor at Gulf Industry Fair, is drawing attention to its latest innovation – a weldable nickel-based flux-cored wire codenamed UTP AF 6222 Mo PW.

The wire possesses special qualities including low spattering, low-failure risk, optimal penetration, optimal welding behaviour, fine-grained structure and excellent mechanical properties.
The latest product also enjoys other characteristics such as excellent weld ability in all positions, low tendency to hot cracking, optimal feeding behaviour, low weld oxidation, self-releasing slag, optimum handling for welders, slag support for weld pool in position and reduction in material and labour costs (M21 and usual welding machines).
UTP has a long history in welding technology in Germany. During the last five decades, it developed into a successful worldwide operating enterprise, with a brand name valued by experts.
“The special care with which UTP started manufacturing electrodes 50 years ago laid the foundation for the high standard of quality, reliability, and belief in the product for which the brand name UTP is recognised worldwide today,” a UTP spokesman recalls.
“Generally speaking, in modern industrial society, innovative ideas are realised in new base materials development. For these, UTP, in close cooperation with world-renowned steel manufacturers applying state-of-the-art technologies, developed matching welding consumables.”
The company points out that its innovative streak has brought about welding solutions in the fields of environmental technology and fabrication Benefiting from group-owned research and development centres, the company has evolved into a worldwide leading manufacturer of superior welding consumables and special alloys.
UTP’s main target industries are maintenance and repair, LNG, sugar cane and waste incineration. Its application fields include railways, the petrochemical, cement, mining and construction industries, offshore industries, aluminium welding, soldering, shipbuilding, automotive manufacturing and power station and plant construction.
