Ducab, the leading manufacturer of high-quality power cables in the Middle East, has recently started its sale bonanza offering nine per cent longer building wires at the same price of 100 yards.
The new offer is in implementation of the metric system which the company adopted in October last year.
“Buying a 100-metre coil of Ducab building wires means having nine per cent more length than what you’d get from the old packaging of 100 yards coil but at the same price,” a company official said. “The unique offer, which is the first of its kind in the region, reflects Ducab’s commitment to remaining innovative in its products by providing the best services to its clients in the UAE, the Middle East and North Africa, thus attaining more customer satisfaction.”
Commenting on the new development, Ducab managing director Andrew Shaw said: “Ducab is a pacesetter in the Gulf and Middle East region, offering longer building wires at the same old price of the old yard measurement system.”
He also said the company was endeavouring to increase its production of various types of cables. Ducab has so far invested about Dh660 million in expansions and is targeting a 50 per cent increase in production at its Abu Dhabi and Dubai industries. Shaw said the company was committed to supplying industrialists with the latest equipment for the production of new electric cable products to boost the UAE’s status as a regional hub for industrial excellence.
Ducab is jointly owned by the Governments of Dubai and Abu Dhabi (50 per cent each), and its manufacturing units are among the most modern in the region. They occupy land of 590,000 sq m in Jebel Ali, Dubai, and nearly 200,000 sq m in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi. Today, Ducab produces the equivalent of over 65,000 cubic tonnes of low and medium voltage cables. Products that Ducab manufactures include MV cables, LV power cables, building wires, control & auxiliary, lead sheathed cables and Ducab Smokemaster (LSF) cables. It is also a distributor of Ducab Connect cable accessories.
Ducab is ISO 9001:2000-certified for both factories.
