Amana Contracting and Steel Buildings, one of the leading names in fast track and turnkey constru-ction in the Middle East, has completed a landmark office building for Qatar Real Estate Investment Company (QREIC), a leading Qatari shareholding company.

The Dh11.23 million ($3 million) building in the Al Hilal Area (C- Ring Road) marks the completion of Amana’s first project for QREIC. The 2,300 sq m office building has been constructed on 8,000 sq m of land.
 The fully equipped B+G+2 building reiterates Amana’s capabilities to execute time-sensitive projects within budget and with good-quality materials.
In his comments on the project, Ghassan Assaf, general manager at Amana Contracting – Doha, says: “The office building for QREIC, which came within the context of our regional growth strategy, was a very prestigious project for us and we proudly announce the completion of the project within the stipulated time schedule and budget. It is a great honour for us as one of the biggest challenges on the project was to control the budget in view of the record high inflation of building material costs.”
 He adds: “We are confident that the project’s completion will provide Amana the vital impetus to our growth strategy in Qatar, which is fast emerging as an important centre of business activity in the region. The country is definitely a growing market for us and we have a lot of plans in place aimed at our involvement with other upcoming projects in the country.”
The building encompasses a unique, modern steel and glazed façade and has been equipped with the latest facilities. Arab Consulting Engineers were the project consultants.
Commenting on the project,  Mohammad Khafajeh, project manager at QREIC, says: “The successful completion of the office building stands testimony to Amana’s efficient and reliable project execution. The time frame was very crucial and the project could only be completed through perfect and stringent planning and I congratulate Amana for their delivery schedule.”

QREIC, incorporated in 1995, is a Qatari public shareholding company, owned 27 per cent by the State of Qatar. The company is involved in the development of real estate projects for governmental and corporate entities in Qatar.
