

The Etisalat Academy’s eCompetency Centre has announced that it has started offering the ‘International Licence Programme for Skills Evaluation.
’The academy has organised this programme in collaboration with SHL Group International from Great Britain.
Twenty participants, all chief executives, heads of HR departments or skill development managers representing the banking sector, petroleum companies, electricity and water authorities and private sector companies operating across the Arab world are participating in this programme. The programme includes training sessions on applying the latest systems of career questionnaires to the work place. It also discusses the relationship between these systems and personal career ambition by measuring levels of performance and its compatibility to Human Resource (HR) management.
Dr Doaa Fares, Etisalat Academy general manager, said: “The academy is proud to introduce state-of-the-art career- and performance-assessment systems. This reflects the academy’s commitment to organising training courses and other related activities such as conferences seminars. This has helped to establish the Etisalat Academy as one of the most important training organisations in the region. “
Miriam Mohammad, Compet-ency Centre manager, said “The eCompetency centre has now successfully organised eight training courses of the ‘International Licence Programme for Skills Evaluation’ since 2006. All 50 participants in the earlier courses were accredited with the international licence for performance-assessment from the Psychological Society.”
Through specialised programmes, the centre aims to develop the skills for professionals working in the human resources field, as well as expanding the culture of assessments, surveys and career guidance and placement. The programmes applied by the centre, in collaboration with leading global and British companies, proved to be successful in enhancing the performance of several companies by elevating employees’ productivity levels.
