Sheikh Ahmed receives the ISO certificate

Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chairman of Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), received the ISO 9001:2000 certification for Quality Management Systems (QMS), an internationally recognised standard for quality in products and services.

The certification recognises DSOA’s commitment towards promoting, providing and investing in facilities for technology-based industries, including technology education.
Commenting on this milestone achievement, Sheikh Ahmed said: “This is an outstanding achievement, led by DSOA’s management team and executed by every employee. Certification validates our commitment to providing our customers with products and a level of service that leads the industry in quality and technology.”
Dr Mohammed Al Zarouni, vice chairman and chief executive officer of DSOA, added: “Following the implementation of Oracles’ Enterprise Resources Planning system (ERP) and other quality initiatives, we were keen to adopt additional quality standards in order to provide world-class services. The ISO certification ranks us among the leading global high-tech parks and will facilitate enhanced industry partnerships for businesses based at Dubai Silicon Oasis, which will be addressed to all areas of our operations.”
Recognised by more than 150 countries, the ISO 9001:2000 is considered the highest standard for quality assurance, and focuses on customer satisfaction, management responsibility, and continual improvement. The ISO 9001:2000 is considered a prestigious global certification in the field of quality management.
