Robo.ai breaks ground on UAQ industrial park
Nasdaq-listed technology group Robo.ai has marked a major milestone in its UAE expansion strategy with the groundbreaking of Phase I of the ALIF Holding Group Industrial Park in Umm Al Quwain.
Developed in partnership with its Abu Dhabi-based subsidiary ALIF Holding, the project is designed to create a local manufacturing and integration base for a range of industrial and intelligent infrastructure initiatives.
The first phase of the industrial park will feature a gross floor area of 8,845 sq m, with existing factory facilities set to be refurbished and upgraded to support manufacturing, system integration and assembly operations. The site will be owned by a majority-controlled ALIF Holding subsidiary currently undergoing registration in Umm Al Quwain, with transfer procedures subject to regulatory approvals.
The launch event was attended by Dr Ahmed Naser Al Raisi, Chairman of ALIF Holding, alongside Sheikh Ali bin Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi, a member of Ajman’s ruling family, and Sheikh Saqr bin Saud Al Mualla and Sheikh Al Mualla bin Ahmed Al Mualla of the Umm Al Quwain ruling family. Guests praised the group’s industrial ambitions and progress towards establishing a long-term manufacturing presence in the UAE.
Three-phase plan
The industrial park is planned as a three-stage development. Phase I focuses on repurposing existing facilities to accelerate the deployment of near-term projects. Phase II will see the construction of new manufacturing facilities to expand production capacity, while Phase III provides land reserves for future growth and diversification.
ALIF Holding aims to have at least three operating project companies established within the park by the end of 2026, subject to facility readiness and project development timelines.
“This project marks a new beginning for ALIF in the industrial sector,” said Dr Jasem Al Mansoori, CEO of ALIF Holding. “Our goal is to combine advanced technologies with local manufacturing and build businesses that create long-term value for the UAE while serving international markets.”
Manufacturing ambitions
For Robo.ai, the industrial park forms a core pillar of its advanced manufacturing and intelligent infrastructure strategy. The facility is expected to support the localisation, integration and commercialisation of technologies targeting government, industrial and critical infrastructure customers across the region.
Among the first projects expected to occupy the refurbished Phase I facilities is Alif Maritec, a proposed venture focused on maritime security and intelligent marine infrastructure solutions.
Its planned portfolio includes systems for marine oil spill response, integrating detection, containment, recovery and water-quality verification capabilities; land border security solutions combining sensors, physical barriers and command systems; and AI-enabled defence and intelligent monitoring platforms designed to enhance critical infrastructure protection through data fusion, real-time analytics and centralised situational awareness.
Phase I will primarily provide manufacturing, equipment integration and software deployment capabilities for these technologies, creating a direct link between industrial park development and commercial project execution.
Strong revenue momentum
The industrial park announcement comes as Robo.ai continues to report robust business growth following its acquisition of Quantum Core Capital (QC Capital) in June 2026.
According to the company, revenue exceeded US$180 million during the three-month period from June to August 2026, driven largely by contributions from the newly acquired business.
“Since completing the acquisition in June, we have seen steady operating momentum and continued revenue contribution from our acquired business,” said Benjamin Zhai, CEO of Robo.ai. “Our overall revenue performance over the past several months gives us greater confidence in the progress we are making and provides a solid foundation for our next stage of development.”
Robo.ai said the preliminary, unaudited figures reflect continued progress in integrating recent acquisitions as it builds technology-driven platforms across artificial intelligence, robotics and smart mobility, advanced manufacturing, and digital assets and capital markets.
The company noted that refurbishment works, company formations and production activities within the industrial park will be implemented in stages, with progress dependent on regulatory approvals, funding availability and operational readiness.
