Geekplus launches RoboShuttle Hyper AMR

Geekplus unveils RoboShuttle Hyper, raising the throughput ceiling for tote-to-person fulfillment

Geekplus, a global provider of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), has introduced RoboShuttle Hyper, its latest tote-to-person climbing AMR solution designed for high-throughput warehouse environments.

Targeting applications such as B2C e-commerce fulfilment, fresh-food and cold-chain logistics, consolidation warehouses and micro-fulfilment centres, the system is capable of handling up to 6,000 totes per hour within a 1,000 sq m footprint. Paired with the new Max Workstation, which features a dual-point continuous tote-feeding mode, throughput can exceed 800 totes per hour.

Developed to address growing demand for faster order processing, RoboShuttle Hyper focuses on increasing throughput while maintaining operational reliability. The system enables a higher number of robots to operate simultaneously within the same storage area, improving efficiency during peak periods.

Designed for greater throughput

RoboShuttle Hyper can climb at speeds of up to 1.5 m/s, supported by new motion-control algorithms that improve travel speed and positioning accuracy during tote retrieval. A 1:10 charge-to-discharge ratio also helps maximise availability during intensive operating cycles.

According to Geekplus, the solution delivers 50 per cent higher concurrency than conventional climbing robot systems. Multiple robots can operate across adjacent rack columns simultaneously, while only two rack columns require locking during operation, compared with the typical four to six columns used in many systems. The platform also supports dual-robot operation within a single column.

Its double-deep, dual-pass, bidirectional retrieval design is intended to reduce climbing cycles while increasing both storage density and operational efficiency. In addition, two aisles beneath a single rack structure increase robot path density by 30 per cent, helping to ease congestion and accelerate dispatching.

The company’s scheduling software can coordinate up to 5,000 robots across facilities covering 50,000 sq m and up to three million storage locations.

Reliability features include a column-rail-integrated design, multi-layer fall protection that limits tote drop distances to 50 mm or less, and real-time tote alignment detection and correction. The system is also compatible with Geekplus’ RoboSafe safety vest technology.

Expanding the RoboShuttle portfolio

Geekplus entered the tote-handling market in 2018 and has since broadened its offering with a range of automated storage and retrieval solutions, including the launch of RoboShuttle Air in 2024 and Robot Arm Picking Stations in 2025.

RoboShuttle Hyper joins RoboShuttle Air and RoboShuttle Flex as part of the company’s tote-to-person portfolio, each designed to address different warehouse requirements.

RoboShuttle Hyper is aimed at ultra-high-throughput operations such as fresh-food logistics, e-commerce fulfilment, consolidation centres and micro-fulfilment facilities. RoboShuttle Air is designed for fixed-takt operations in manufacturing and finished-goods warehouses, while RoboShuttle Flex targets facilities managing large SKU ranges, multiple container types and fluctuating order volumes.

The new system is also compatible with Geekplus’ Robot Arm Picking Stations and the Gino 1 humanoid robot, further extending the company’s automation capabilities for high-volume fulfilment operations.
