Emirates Glass, a Dubai Investments subsidiary and leading supplier of premium architectural glass products, has won major orders to supply a total of 50,000 sq m of its EmiCool range to two prestigious projects in Dubai.

The company will supply 34,000 sq m of its 8 mm EmiCool CR14 Blue Green for the curtain wall and EmiCool NN35 Clear for windows for the Park Place Tower project on Sheikh Zayed Road, opposite the Dubai World Trade Centre. It is also contracted to supply 16,000 sq m of its 8 mm EmiCool Sun NN60 Solar Control Green glass for the Harbour Plaza project, close to Garhoud Bridge at the Dubai Festival City.
“These orders confirm the wide acceptance of our premium quality products which are made especially to suit the harsh environmental conditions imposed by the Gulf climate,” said Jerry Dowling, general manager, Emirates Glass.
“Our diverse range of glass is ideal for most glazing applications. The ever-increasing number of major orders which Emirates Glass has been receiving is a good indication of our market strength and our ability to provide energy-saving glass that is fully compliant with ‘green building’ principles,” Dowling added.
Furthermore, all Emirates Glass products meet the strict quality standards of Dubai Municipality, whilst most of them comply with Dubai Municipality’s latest energy-saving requirements.
“More and more architects and industry professionals prefer EmiCool products from Emirates Glass because of our very wide range and the adaptability of EmiCool glass to the demands of the market. Also, We are now feeling the strong benefit of our huge 2005 investment in additional capacity and this is the foundation upon which we will build a 2006 order book larger even than last year’s excellent performance,” said Dowling.
