

Anixter International, a distributor of communication products, electrical and electronic wires, cables, fasteners and other small parts (‘C’ Class inventory components) to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), recently inaugurated its $3 million Middle East Headquarters in Dubai.
The company’s headquarters and warehouse are located at the recently expanded Jebel Ali Free Zone.
Mike Smith, VP Sales – wire and cable, Anixter FZE, observed that the region had seen phenomenal growth and investment. “We are committed to working with our regional partners across the Middle East, supported by an extensive on-hand, local inventory. Anixter also provides local training and technical expertise.”
Michael Eccleston, VP sales - communications, added: “As part of Anixter’s global expansion to serve its growing customer base, Anixter established a presence in the Middle East in 1997. The re-location to this new, 10,000 sq m Anixter-owned warehouse and distribution centre in Dubai is further evidence of our investment and commitment to the Middle East markets. It is also an opportunity to continue supporting Anixter’s global customers and manufacturers across key portions of our business that include enterprise cabling and security solutions, and electrical/electronic wires and cables.”
