Al Jallaf, right, receiving the certification

National Insulated Block Industry (InsuLite) LLC, a subsidiary of M’sharie, the private equity arm of Dubai Investments, and a leading manufacturer of high strength, light weight construction blocks using modern technology, has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certificate for its quality management system by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).

The certification was conducted in accordance with the TUV CERT auditing and certification procedures and is subject to regular surveillance audits.
ISO 9001:2000 specifies requirements for a quality management system for any organisation that needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products that meet customer and applicable regulatory requirements and aims to enhance customer satisfaction.
“We are proud to receive this prestigious certification which is in recognition of our quality management system. Ever since its inception, InsuLite has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to quality standards across all its processes and this certification is a result of the sincere efforts of all our staff,” said Mohammed Al Jallaf, director, InsuLite.
Explaining the fundamentals of a quality management system, Al Jallaf said: “A quality management system is a web of interconnected processes and each process uses resources such as people, work, records, documents, rules, supplies, equipment, and so on, to turn inputs into outputs. In general, a quality system includes all the ingredients that are used to regulate, control, and improve the quality of products and services.”
InsuLite was one of the first companies in the UAE to manufacture high-strength, lightweight construction blocks using sophisticated technology, and was set up in partnership with the well-known company Al Jallaf Constructions.
Al Jallaf said the demand for InsuLite blocks in the UAE had been rising steadily owing to the continued construction boom in the country.
“InsuLite blocks are extremely strong yet light, therefore the cost of handling, hauling, and fixing is largely reduced. Further, InsuLite blocks have high thermal and water-vapour resistance, fire resistance, waterproof and soundproof qualities, which make it ideally suited for housing and commercial complexes,” he concluded.
