Danfoss FZCO, which recently launched a new generation of dual-function valves (AB-QM) that sets a new standard for combined control and balancing of comfort cooling systems, has seen a rapid growth in demand for its sales, services and training since setting up at the free zone a few years ago.
To meet this demand, Danfoss FZCO doubled its facilities in March 2005 at Jebel Ali Free Zone. “The opening of the new office and warehouse will help in enhance our strong presence in the region,” says Naresh Verma, president, Danfoss FZCO.
The Jebel Ali outfit, a Danfoss sales company, was set up in the free zone in January 2003. From its Jebel Ali office, it offers full commercial, technical and logistical support to its customers in the Middle East. It also provides direct professional service and training to Danfoss’ OEMs and distributors and also to end customers through close coordination with the Danfoss distributors in the area. The products being provided by Danfoss FZCO include refrigeration and air conditioning controls, industrial controls, appliance controls, compressors for refrigerators and freezers, commercial compressors, electrical drives, balancing valves, Socla water valves, district cooling controls and RO (reverse osmosis) high-pressure water solutions.
“The launch of the AB-QM makes designing, installation and commissioning so much easier that it marks a new era for engineers, contractors and maintenance people working with hydronic comfort systems,” says Erik Kristiansen, product manager at Danfoss.
The new innovative two-in-one valve, launched by the parent company based in Denmark in 2003, combines a control valve and automatic balancing valve specially manufactured for controlling terminal units like fan-coils.
The AB-QM can be used either as an automatic flow limiter or as a combined flow limiter and control valve when fitted with an actuator. All these advantages have been brought together in a compact design that allows installation where only a limited space is available.
