Emirates Glass, a Dubai Investments subsidiary and leading supplier of premium architectural glass products, is well advanced with a landmark order to supply a total of 66,000 sq m of its Emicool glass for the Burj Residence projects in Dubai.

The company has already supplied 30,000 sq m of EmiCool Sun NN46 green glass for Burj Residence Phase 1 and 16,000 sq m of EmiCool Sun NN50 blue green glass for Phase 2.  Emirates Glass is now supplying 20,000 sq m of its EmicoolSun NN60 grey glass to Burj Residence Phase 3, which is expected to be completed sometime during late summer this year. All the structures are located at the Burj Dubai Precinct.
Jerry Dowling, general manager, Emirates Glass, noted: “That the prestigious Burj Precinct, built around the Burj Dubai, the world’s tallest tower, has chosen Emirates Glass products symbolises the confidence of developers and their consultants in the company as a world-class quality glass-maker. Time and again we have proved that our products have the quality and performance to meet the high engineering and quality standards required to meet the harsh environmental condition imposed by the Gulf climate.”
EmiCoolSun NN Series has been developed as a range of low-E coatings, which have a neutral silver appearance when applied onto clear and tinted float glass substrates. The EmiCoolSun range of four coating options provides a multifunctional capability with good solar resistance and excellent thermal insulation. It allows generous transmission of light with low internal reflection, giving the appearance of clear or tinted glass when viewed from inside.
All Emirates Glass’ products including EmiCool Classic, EmiCoolSun, EmiCoolPlus and EmiCool Super E2 coated glass are produced according to ASTM C 1376-97 specifications. They also meet the strict quality standards of Dubai Municipality, whilst most of them fully comply with Dubai Municipality’s latest energy-saving regulations.
“We are very proud that architects and professionals from many parts of the world are specifying Emirates Glass products, and our good reputation is growing steadily,” remarked Dowling.
Emirates Glass was established by Dubai Investments in 1998 and has since secured a position as one of the leading providers of energy-efficient architectural glass in the Middle East with a rapidly growing market stretching from London to Hong Kong.
For the domestic market, Emirates Glass offers deliveries on A-frames (loose), wooden end-caps or picture-frame packing. The standard interleaving medium between single panels is Lucite powder with cork separating pads for insulated glass units.
For export orders, glass is packed in wooden picture-frame boxes to facilitate transportation by road, sea or air according to the requirement of the project.
