Union Properties (UP), the award-winning property developer, has launched The Fitout, a new company dedicated to the interior fit-out, design and installation for banks, hotels, office and residential properties.

The Fitout has evolved from the interior Design and Fitout department at UP to create a new stand-alone company working on a variety of key sectors. Simon Azzam, CEO of Union Properties, said the growth registered by the team had encouraged UP to create a standalone, independent company with a totally new identity and branding.
“The Fitout has a factory where furniture is designed and manufactured to high levels of craftsmanship. The work done ranges from complete turnkey solutions to one-off elements within a project,” a company spokesman said.
The factory offers designs for hotels, banks and residential apartments and can customise.
The company has worked on a number of projects including the Mercedes Benz showroom at Doha and interiors for the Mall of the Emirates and Burjuman. Other projects include ones for the Commercial Bank of Dubai and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, some corporate headquarters and restaurants
Team leader Bobby Khambatta says: “The disciplines of architecture and interior design are very closely related – yet far too often this isn’t evident.”
