Gulf Extrusions: a leading supplier

Gulf Extrusions has signed a deal with Tejari, a premier business-to-business marketplace, to increase efficiency and reduce procurement costs.

With nearly 70 per cent of its produce catering to the building and construction sector in the UAE, continuing to meet its procurement needs in an efficient and effective manner had become more and more challenging and a time-consuming process, a spokesman said.
“We continue to strive to maintain the highest standards of quality in everything we do at Gulf Extrusions. Our products comply with the British Standards,” said Modar Al Mekdad, general manager, Gulf Extrusions.
The services obtained will continue to help the plant elevate its procurement operations and optimise its buying power. Tejari and Gulf Extrusions are now in discussions for a second phase of consulting to further automate the company’s procurement efforts, cleanse all inventory data and develop the right framework for continuous improve-ment.
“Tejari services has enabled Gulf Extrusions to gain greater visibility into their costs and purchasing trends and optimise utilisation of their available technology in order to redesign their procurement processes and establish a continuous improvement framework that meets aggressive growth strategy,” said Hani Obeid, director of consulting services at Tejari.
