MESC Specialized Cables has announced it has reinforced its presence in Oman and Kuwait having received two major contracts for projects there.
The Oman contract was awarded by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of Japan, which is working on the Bahwan fertiliser plant. It received the other contract from Spain’s Tecnicas Reunidas, which is involved in the KOC-Gathering Centre 28 Expansion.
“MESC was able to gain their trust on the basis of the international quality it offers at the shortest possible lead times,” a company spokesman said, adding it supplied clients world-class cables within a time span that no other company could offer.
The company commenced operations in 1993, becoming over the years a major cables supplier. It says it has helped power the growth of the oil and gas industry in the Middle East and North Africa and claims a 70 per cent share of the Saudi market and a substantial share of the GCC market.
“MESC’s continuous endeavour to maintain its excellent reputation is the principal core value behind its success. Today, it is proud of its achievements throughout the Gulf and is delighted to join hands with most of the renowned EPC contractors worldwide,” the spokesman said.
