Ducab, a leading manufacturer of high-quality power cables in the Middle East, has bagged a year-long contract worth Dh13.5 million ($3.68 million), for the supply of 11 kV medium voltage (MV) cables to the Federal Electricity and Water Authority (Fewa).
Signing the contract were Mohammed Al Hameli, chairman of Fewa, and Farid Mohammed Ahmed, senior general manager, UAE operations, Ducab.
Saeed Majid Al Shamsi, general manager, Fewa, said Ducab’s reputation for the quality of its products and services helped it win the contract. Ahmed said the deal highlighted the strong relationship between Ducab and Fewa. He stressed that his company’s professional services and timely delivery of products was responsible for keeping the relationship going.
Ducab had earlier fulfilled supply contracts with Fewa for 33 kV single-core cables for expanding the power grid network in the Northern Emirates in 2005.
