Recent developments have placed Schneider Electric in a position of strength in the Gulf region, the company says.

It has opened a new sales office in Dubai under the sponsorship of its partner, the Al Naboodah Group. It recently opened its Customer Support Centre, a first for the industry in the region, offering customers technical and commercial support from Dubai to other points in the Middle East
With the recently announced acquisition of Invensys ABS, Schneider Electric has reinforced its position in building automation, notably in the Gulf countries where the integration of the commercial and operational teams has been rapidly implemented.
Schneider Electric also said international acquisitions of Tour Andover Controls (TAC), Clipsal, Citect, Power Management International (PMI) and MGE UPS had further increased the offers of the group in the Gulf and gave a clear message of strength by incorporating global leading brands.
Present at the inauguration of the sales office were Henri Lachmann, chairman of the supervisory board of Schneider Electric, Samar Roy, group general manager, commercial companies of the Saeed and Mohamed Al Naboodah Group, Robert Jongeryck, consul general of France, and Jacques Billiard, senior vice-president, Middle East zone of Schneider Electric.
Speaking on the occasion, Lachmann said Schneider Electric enjoyed a leading market share in all of its activities in the Gulf countries.
“With the progressive reinforcement of our commercial presence, and notably the installation in Dubai of a new sales office, Schneider Electric is in an ideal position to benefit from the increasing regional demand in power and control,” he said.
Schneider Electric has been present in the Gulf countries for more than 25 years. It serves its customers’ power and control needs with a 200-strong sales, marketing and administration team in eight regional facilities and an ISO 9001 certified Regional Distribution Centre occupying 5,000 sq m in the Jebel Ali Free Zone.
It has more than 90 specialised partners in the region, with a network of official distributors, licensed and franchised panel manufacturers and authorised system integrators.
