Elapco, the UAE-based air conditioning specialist, has signed a significant marketing and distribution agreement with Zamil Air Conditioners (ZAC) to extend the distribution of ZAC’s Cooline brand of air conditioning products in the country.

“The tie-up with the leading Middle East and international manufacturer of air conditioning systems will enable Elapco to further its leadership in the UAE’s residential air conditioning segment to now include an offer for the commercial segment of the market,” a release said.
Hasan Alami, managing director, Elapco Group, commented: “The need for sophisticated air conditioning solutions is an ongoing requirement in the UAE, given the sustainable economic developments taking place within the country and new construction projects which are being continually commissioned.  The fact that the UAE is characterised by extreme hot and humid conditions, that it offers a relatively low cost of electricity and enjoys high per capita incomes makes for a very healthy HVAC industry.”
Alami said the increasing preference for central air conditioning solutions for high-rise buildings, residential apartments, hotels, shopping malls and large-scale residential and commercial developments created a fertile market, and the addition of Zamil Air Conditioners’ product line to Elapco’s existing OGeneral Air Conditioners of Japan would enable his company to comprehensively address and satisfy market demand for both residential and commercial customers.
ZAC designs, manufactures, tests, markets and services a comprehensive range of air conditioning products. These range from compact room air conditioners and mini-splits to large-scale central air conditioners, chillers and air handling units for highly specialised applications. As the largest manufacturer of air conditioning equipment in the Middle East, the company has a production capacity of more than 500,000 units per year.

Zamil Air Conditioners, founded in 1974, markets its products under various brand names including Classic, Cooline, Cool Care, Clima Tech, Kessler Clima Tech and Geoclima – depending on specific markets.
