John Crane has extended its penetration of the Middle East region by opening yet another Customer Support Centre, this time in Abu Dhabi.
This is the latest in a growing list of new international service facilities established by the company and underlines its commitment to making its global-scale customer support and service network locally accessible to Gulf region customers, no matter what their own location.
Located in Abu Dhabi’s Mussafah Industrial Area, the new centre has been opened in conjunction with John Crane’s local partner, Abu Dhabi Oilfield Services (ADOS). It boasts a “fast-track” workshop staffed by fully trained and experienced John Crane engineers, the company said.
“It offers a wide range of engineering, failure analysis, refurbishment and static pressure testing services, plus a round-the-clock, on-site emergency service capability.
Customers can also benefit from the variety of asset management and reliability optimisation services which the new centre can provide, and from the genuine John Crane spare parts which can be held on behalf of individual customers as bonded stocks in order to reduce supply times,” it added.
John Crane’s association with Abu Dhabi stretches back over 40 years, during which time the company has become a major supplier of mechanical seals to the region. The company now has a significant market share in this area, built on a comprehensive customer base that encompasses the oil and gas and petrochemical sectors.
ADOS has supported John Crane’s activities in Abu Dhabi since 1964 and, according to John Crane MEA managing director Paul Roberts, it continues to provide invaluable support. “Partnerships with companies such as ADOS play a significant part in our programme of providing local access to our support and service facilities,” he comments.
“We thank ADOS for their continued support and look forward to operating our new Service Centre in partnership with them.”
Heading the guest list at the opening of the new centre was Musallam Maktoom Rashed Al Mazroui – chairman and proprietor of ADOS. Also present were Ados managing director Zuhair Shehada and Sam Crossley, financial director, John Crane MEA.
