Dubai-based National Fire Fighting Manufacturing Company FZCO (Naffco), one of the leading producers of fire-fighting equipment in the world, has seen its exports double since 2000.

The company recently received the prestigious Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Exports 2005.
According to Jala’a Yaseen, its export manager, the market for the products that Naffco makes and distributes has been booming locally and regionally over the past several years.
The company exports to more than 70 countries, including those in the Gulf and the Middle East, other Asian and Africa states and Europe. It now seeks to penetrate the US and South American markets. Its product range comprises fire extinguishers including portable and mobile extinguishers using CO2, DCP, FE36, foam, water and wet chemicals. All Naffco extinguishers display the BSI Kite mark and conform to BS EN3 standards.
Naffco’s fire reels and cabinets are available in stainless steel and electro-galvanised powder-coated sheeting. They can be custom-designed and have been supplied to various projects across the Middle East. The company’s fire hydrants and valves are externally sandblasted and electro-statically powder-coated above ground and double coated with bitumen below for longer life. The valves are manufactured to BS 5041 while thread and flange valves are produced in a variety of configurations to suit every requirement.
Fire hoses and couplings conform to BS6391 and are designed to suit a wide range of applications. They are available in single- and double-jacket forms. All hoses are maintenance-free and available in multiple lengths. Couplings made from aluminium alloy, bronze, gun metal and chrome are available.
Fire-suppression systems are described as state-of-the-art fully integrated systems with proven fire-suppression technology for both CO2 and FE-227 systems.
Naffco has an extensive range of fixed and portable foam equipment that is both standard and custom-made. The range includes foam bladder tank systems, high-expansion foam generators, water foam monitors and foam proportioners. All foam concentrates are fire tested prior to delivery.
A range of fire pumps suitable for every application is available from Naffco. The pumps are calibrated to specific client requirements ensuring maximum safety. All pumps are designed as heavy duty to ensure reliability.
Naffco also manufactures fire doors incorporating the very latest technological advances in terms of construction and materials. The company also distributes safety products from UniWork and NFPA. UniWork products range from eye, hand, foot and head protection through to coveralls, fire-fighting suits, protective outwear and motorised and manual rescue tools.
