Lenovo, the world’s third largest international PC company, has announced the establishment of a spare parts hub in the UAE for the Lenovo ThinkPad and ThinkCentre products in a move to enhance the company’s strong presence in the regional market.
The hub will serve as a strategic resource for critical parts to be identified and stocked locally, and disbursed to Lenovo business partners.
“Lenovo is putting in the investment and the resources to ensure that customers in the region receive the best possible support,” said Imtiaz Ghani, general manager, Lenovo MEEP.
“Today in the Middle East, we are offering our customers the full range of ThinkPad notebooks and ThinkCentre desktops that feature the ThinkVantage technologies software tools as well as ThinkVision monitors and a full line of PC accessories and options. The size and scale of the regional PC market demands the availability of critical parts close at hand.”
The Dubai-based Lenovo hub will provide fast delivery for the majority of Middle East countries. The stock of ThinkPad and ThinkCentre parts will be replenished on a regular basis from the Netherlands.
Ghani continued: “Across its worldwide operations, Lenovo is committed to staying on the cutting edge of computing technology and focusing our research and development on innovation that matters for our customers. From the extensive R&D facilities to innovation centres and concept PCs, Lenovo works closely with partners and leading technology companies to develop leading products for its customers. Establishing a spare parts hub dedicated to the Middle East region is one step in many more initiatives to come for this market.”
Formed by Lenovo Group’s acquisition of the former IBM Personal Computing Division, the company develops, manufactures and markets reliable, high-quality, secure, and easy-to-use technology products and services worldwide. Lenovo has major research centres in Yamato, Japan; Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, China; and Raleigh, North Carolina.
