A Dammam-based engineering firm has formally launched Enerpac’s newly introduced ZE series pumps.

Alaa for Industry (AFI), the authorised distributor of Enerpac’s products in Saudi Arabia, provided details of the ZE series it will be handling.  The Z-class pumps are packed with more advanced features than conventional pumps and include an automatic cooling system, drawing of less electricity and capability for easy service.
“Enerpac has used the latest metallurgical bearing and seal technologies to produce a pump whose features and benefits far surpass the electric pumps that are available today,” said Jolly Joseph, AFI sales and marketing manager.
“By reducing the number of moving parts, improving flow dynamics and decreasing friction, the Z-series pump will stay on the job longer, require less energy to operate and when needed have lower service costs.
AFI listed the key features of the Z series pumps as:
Tough – Heavy-duty bearings extend pump life by reducing friction and surface loading and lowering bearing stresses.  The pump’s high-strength, moulded composite shroud protects the motor and electronics, while providing an ergonomic, non-conductive handle for easy transport. 
Dependable – Remote control units with low-voltage pendants provide additional safety for the operator.  The brush design lasts 4-times longer than current designs and features an “auto-stop” shunt to prevent commutator damage from normal brush wear
Innovative – The LCD readout provides pressure display and a number of diagnostic and readout capabilities never before offered on a portable electric pump.
Service and Technical support: AFI’s highly trained engineers provide customer support and technical assistance. AFI’s commitment to give after-sales service is accentuated by the frequent product training its technicians receive from Enerpac. AFI has a wide network of 17 branches across the region to provide spare parts and after-sales service support.
Enerpac Middle East conducted detailed product training at AFI headquarters in Dammam as well as the other regions in Saudi Arabia. The Enerpac product range includes cylinders, pumps, valves, hydraulic presses, pullers and various other industrial tools including bolting tools. Duane Falconer Smith, the Enerpac technical and territory manager, provided the training to key technical and commercial personnel in AFI. The training was designed to enable AFI personnel provide appropriate product selection and better after-sales service.
It was during the training that AFI launched the Enerpac ZE series pumps.
