Awards galore

Agility’s reputation for bagging coveted awards is proverbial and this is proven by the long and impressive list of regional and international awards and commendations that have been bestowed on the company over the past several years.

And all of these awards are testimony to the company’s professionalism and an endorsement of their enviable track record.
The most recent award to embellish their bouquet of trophies was in March 2007 when the company was honored with “Best Logistics Company – Arabian Business Kuwait Achievement Awards 2007,” from Dubai-based ITP Publishing.
This is presented to outstanding companies from various industry sectors in Kuwait and Agility was recognised as the best in logistics having grown from a Kuwait-based operation to a global enterprise.
Agility was honoured with the Middle East Logistics Award (MELA) in November 2006 by Media One Group in the UAE. Agility has the distinction of winning four major awards at MELA held for the first time as a celebration of excellence in the logistics industry. Agility, nominated in four categories, was voted best in all and these included Best Road Hauler, Best Land Freight Forwarder, Best Logistics Service Provider in 3PL and in perishable goods.
In October 2006 it won the “Best Industry Leader in Military Logistics 2006” from the Institute for Defence and Government Advancement (IDGA), US, at their 2006 Military Logistics Summit.  Toby Switzer, chief executive officer and president of Agility Services, Defence and Government Services International, received top honours as the IDGA “Logistician of the Year.”
The “Gulf Excellence Award 2006” was conferred on Agility by the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry in May 2006. Agility emerged winner from among a raft of companies from Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar who competed for this award. It was presented at a ceremony held under the patronage of Shaikh Tamim Bin Hamad Khalifa Al Thani, the Crown Prince of Qatar.
The Best 3PL in the GCC award was conferred on Agility twice in April 2006 and March 2004 marking an accreditation of the company’s extraordinary contribution to the development of third-party logistics in the region.
Agility was the winner of the Defence Logistics Agency (DLA) award for “Outstanding Readiness Support” in January last year. It received the award for providing extraordinary customer support, service or product directly to a crisis. The recipient company must demonstrate overall excellence in superior product quality, on-time delivery, superior customer service, reliability, dependability, consistency and accuracy.
Overall the business alliance awards recognise those companies that have demonstrated outstanding efforts to partner with DLA and improve the agency’s mission, providing supplies and services to America’s war fighters.
In September 2005 the information technology weekly Arab Technology’s “Outstanding Achievement in the use of IT in Logistics” award, sponsored by Etisalat and presented in association with Gitex to celebrate 25 years of innovation across the Middle East, was conferred on Agility. This award seeks to honour technology pioneers, leaders and educators of the Arab World and celebrate local and international heroes who have elevated the Middle East IT market to its current status.
In recognition of Agility’s outstanding level of best-in-class customer service, the Defence Supply Centre Philadelphia (DSCP) presented Agility with the “Outstanding Customer Service” award in June 2005 and July 2004.  This award seeks to honour Agility’s performance in the Middle East and European regions for the subsistence prime vendor programme through which PWC provides food and non-food products to the US army, navy, marines and air force operating in the regions of Kuwait, Qatar and Iraq. 
The Dubai Department of Economic Development’s Quality Award Supreme Committee presented Agility the “Dubai Quality Appreciation Programme” award in March 2005 in recognition of its strong performance in providing advanced logistics services throughout the GCC region.
From the Defence Logistics Agency (DLA) the “2004 Contractor of the Year” award was won by Agility in January 2005 for its strong performance in providing logistics services to the US military.
