Air Mauritius, Gamco’s newest customer

Air Mauritius, the national airline of the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius, has concluded a maintenance support agree-ment with Gulf Aircraft Mainte-nance Company (Namco) to provide heavy maintenance for two of its Airbus A319 craft.

The maintenance work includes cabin refurbishment, embodiment of special modifications to augment the structural durability of the airframe and inspections of critical areas. Gamco has also secured the approval of the Mauritius Civil Aviation Department to carry out maintenance work on Mauritius registered aircraft.
Riyaz Kudaroth, technical manager at Air Mauritius, said: “We have chosen Gamco as our partner in this demanding project following a detailed assessment and physical inspection of the facility by experts from the Civil Aviation Department of Mauritius. Gamco’s excellent reputation, impressive maintenance expertise and capabilities have been decisive factors in our decision to partner with them.”
Gamco’s CEO, Saif Al Mughairy said: “We are confident that Air Mauritius, with its fleet of Airbus aircraft, will undoubtedly benefit from this agreement considering Gamco’s special capability to service Airbus aircraft. I am confident that our work on these aircraft will encourage Air Mauritius to become one of our longstanding customers.”
