The Middle East represents one of the fastest growing markets for "Made in China" tissue paper and disposable products, according to the China National Household Paper Industry Association, which participated at Paper Arabia 2009, a three-day exhibition held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.

The association, which has 520 domestic and 24 overseas members, is urging them to work hard to meet the region's growing demand for tissue paper and disposable products.

Paper Arabia 2009 hosted a number of Chinese companies that are members of the association. Displayed were a vast array of paper and tissue products and the latest machinery pertaining to this industry. The show exhibited for the first time machines for making disposable products, a clear indication of the evolution of this business in the Middle East.
