Gulf Aircraft Maintenance Company (Gamco) has been awarded a new five-year contract valued at Dh343 million ($93.4 million) from the UAE Air Force and Air Defence (UAE AF & AD) to carry out second-line scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the a fleet of Hawk MK 102, MK63 & MK61 aircraft based at Khalifa Bin Zayed Air College in Al Ain and Al Minhad Airbase in Dubai.

“The contract with Gamco will guarantee a high standard of aircraft maintenance availability and serviceability,” a company press release said.
The maintenance support contract on Hawk aircraft also includes component maintenance, engineering and technical support services, training services, maintenance planning and control and logistics and supply support.
Gamco chairman Dr Sheikh Ahmed bin Saif Al Nahyan said: “This seal of approval by UAE AF&AD reassures Gamco a position as the most reliable and versatile maintenance organisation in the region. Gamco is well recognised for its expertise in aircraft maintenance and technical support and its reputation for quality and service is exceptionally high.”
