Al Gurg Leigh’s Paints (AGLP), manufacturer of Dulux Paints in the UAE, recently launched a new range of luxury paints called Dulux Royal Touch.

Commenting on its properties, Ashish Chaturvedy, its marketing and business development manager, said the new range, which incorporated anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, also allowed easy flowing and levelling, while hiding minor flaws such as hairline cracks and bumps.
“Royal Touch can be used on suitably prepared masonry plaster, concrete, rendered block works, gypsum board and wood,” he said.

Dulux Royal Touch targets the local decorative interior emulsion paints sector, which is growing at the rate of 15 per cent per annum and is currently estimated to be worth more than Dh120 million ($32.6 million), according to Chaturvedy.
“With more premium projects coming on board and discerning clients demanding higher quality standards, we estimate further growth of 20 per cent in the interior emulsion sector over the next five years,” he said.
More than 30 per cent of the total paint consumed in the UAE is from the interior coatings industry, he added.
Decorative products such as Dulux Royal Touch are already proving to be a popular choice among an increasing number of homeowners globally and Mathew is confident that the range will emulate its international success in the UAE.
“Royal Touch has set a benchmark for safe and hygienic emulsion paints. Not only do they protect health but they also avoid unnecessary toxic emissions into the environment.
