Mammut won a supply contract for the Abu Dhabi Corniche project

Mammut Building Systems Abu Dhabi, set up two years ago as Mammut Group’s sole agent and representative in Abu Dhabi, has consolidated its position and today dominates almost 50 per cent of all pre-engineered buildings (PEB) sales in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

The company has supplied to many projects for prestigious clients, such as the 150,000 sq m Adpico project in Mussafah; a new 13,000 sq m storage facility for Al-Rashid Building Materials of Saudi Arabia’s new business in Abu Dhabi, Al-Jazira Pipes and Oil Services’ 38,000 sq m new manufacturing facility at the second Industrial City of Abu Dhabi and several oil and gas projects.
“This year we are planning to introduce new products and services such as Thermo-Shield (specialised painting solutions) and are representing a new member of the Mammut Group which is Realty One, engaged in real estate development,” says Sarmad Al-Khudairi, general manager of Mammut Building Systems Abu Dhabi.
Mammut Building Systems, which also represents Mammut Building Systems FZE and Mammut Technocrete in the emirate, has a team of 120 members based in the emirate to ensure prompt and accurate services whenever needed.
The team includes a general manager, a general manager for PEB erection; estimators, designers, project managers and sales engineers and draftsmen fully supported by its own dedicated highly specialised erection team.
“The complete fabrication and erection package we offer has continued to grow in popularity with clients,” says Al Khudairi. “Moreover it is enhanced by the opening of Mammut Group’s new precast concrete facility, the largest fully automated plant in the world, at the Jebel Ali Techno Park. This enables us to offer an integrated solution for clients covering structure, mezzanine floors, boundary walls and an alternative to block work in external walls and internal partitions in warehouses.”
Mammut’s main clients include Silver Cost, Amana Abu Dhabi, Alba TEC, White Aluminum, Samsung, ETA-Ascon, Damac, Seidco, Six Construct, Trust Construction, Al Geemi Contractors, Al Ghafly Contractors, Al Jaber Energy, Al Mansouri 3B, Al Masaood Bergum, Ali & Sons Contracting, Al Tharawat Contracting, ACC, ASCS, Commodore, Euro Asia, Gulf Contractors, The Contractors, Okaz and Star Contactors.
The company plans to further strengthen its position by increasing capacity. Last year Mammut Building Systems FZE planned to increase its total production capacity to 7,500 tonnes per month. But with rapid growth in the Gulf market share and increasing exports to Africa and Asia, that capacity will be inadequate so the company proposes to have another upgrade.  Within a year from now capacity will reach 10,000 tonnes per month.
