Eurostar, the global satellite industry leader, announced the launch of Arab Box, the world’s first Arabic digital satellite receiver, at a dealer conference held in May at the Dubai Ballroom, Sheraton Creek, Dubai.
The Arab Box is the only 100 per cent Arabic- and English-enabled digital satellite receiver, and incorporates a host of functionalities in both languages.
At the conference, Eurostar also announced the launch of the “Watch the World Cup with Eurostar” campaign, whereby subscribers of Arab Box can opt to watch the World Cup Football to be held in Germany during the months of June and July, 2006 on ART. Eurostar is one of the leading distributors for ART in the region, which will be broadcasting the premier sporting event live. Eurostar is also running a promotion where customers purcha-sing an Arab Box or other Eurostar products worth Dh200, as well as subscribers to the Eurostar World Cup Package, will be entered into a raffle draw, allowing them to win a number of prizes.
“With the launch of Arab Box, customers in the Middle East will for the first time have the benefit of a digital satellite receiver that offers a complete set of features in the Arabic language,” said Raju T Jethwani, chairman, Eurostar Group.
