Sharaf: local presence boosted
Lenovo, the third largest computing company in the world, has announced the opening of its two representative offices in Saudi Arabia to take its local customer service and support to a higher level.
The new Lenovo offices will be located in Riyadh and Jeddah. “The move to set up offices in Saudi Arabia aims to support Lenovo’s growth plans and to add value to its products and services in the country,” said Mohammed Sharaf, marketing manager of Lenovo for the Middle East and Pakistan.
Sharaf said Saudi consumers and corporate users were longstanding Lenovo customers, as they were familiar with the ThinkCenter desktops and ThinkPad notebooks. “This milestone coincides also with the launch of the new Lenovo-branded products (Lenovo 3000), which debuted at Gitex Riyadh. The local presence in the kingdom will enhance levels of customer service, and help in driving the PC penetration in this largely untapped market,” the official added.
Lenovo offers notebooks with fingerprint readers to add more security to data; some notebooks come with an integrated light for the keyboard, a protection solution for water or liquid spill, and a long-life battery.
Zakaria Al-Sayed, who has 15 years’ experience in the Saudi IT industry, has been appointed as the Saudi office manager for Lenovo.
