TNT Express, a leading B2B express delivery company, is celebrating its 25th anniversary in the Emirates this year and plans to invest a further Dh4 million ($1.08 million) in infrastructure, expanding its UAE facilities.

The company’s immediate plan is to open a new warehouse at Dubai Airport Free Zone to increase its storage and bonding facilities.
“This investment is a direct response to TNT’s rapid growth in the Emirates of more than 30 per cent over the last year and is aimed at making the company more customer-centric,” said Bryan Moulds, country general manager, TNT UAE.
“We will also be looking for an appropriate site for a purpose-built facility to accommodate our main operations. This will facilitate growth, sustainability and improve communication flows.”
In addition, TNT has opened a new Middle East Road Network hub at the south of Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai. The facility will be used to process road shipments to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Iran.
“We will also build a 5,000 sq m facility for our operations in Dubai which will house the main Northern Emirates’ collection and deliveries, as well as customer-specific value-added activity,” added Moulds.
Two retail outlets have also recently opened in Al Ain and Mussafah. TNT’s planned expansion is expected to increase its UAE workforce by 20 per cent within the next year.
“We will continue to develop our business in specific areas – sea-to-road, value-added warehousing solutions and freight network development, providing customers with the best possible solutions in express distribution,” said Moulds.
