Zamil Air Conditioners (ZAC), a sector business of Zamil Industrial Investment Company (ZIIC), has been awarded a SR5 million ($1.3 million) contract to supply climate control solutions for Bahrain Financial Harbour.

Another ZIIC business, Zamil Glass Industries (ZGI), has been awarded a contract to supply specialised glass for the project as part of a total construction industry solutions approach. 
ZAC will supply 84 chilled water double-skin air-handling units and more than 1,600 chilled water fan coil units. 
These will provide a total cooling capacity of 10,700 tonnes for the landmark architectural project, which is located on the northern coast of Bahrain. 
ZAC will execute the project in co-operation with project consultants Ahmed Janahi Architects and Gemac, and HVAC contractor Al Hamad Construction and Development Company.
“We are privileged to have been selected as the HVAC solutions provider for this national landmark project, which is a significant addition to our project portfolio in the GCC,” says ZIIC chief operating officer Abdulla Mohammed Al Zamil.
“Our unique design and manufacturing capabilities enable us to meet the most stringent project specifications, including those of Bahrain Financial Harbour, which will be fitted with our highly specialised ‘Cooline’ brand of air conditioning applications.”
Bahrain Financial Harbour covers an area of 380,000 sq m of prime waterfront property.
