Hussain: service-based solution
Tech Access, one of the leading distributors of enterprise and security solutions, has signed an exclusive deal with BlackSpider, the fast-growing UK-based e-mail security services vendor.
Under the terms of the agreement, Tech Access will gain exclusive distribution rights for BlackSpider products across the Middle East, and use its extensive partner network to launch these products throughout the GCC.
BlackSpider’s remotely hosted e-mail security system protects customers’ integrity by scanning their entire inbound and outbound e-mail community for threats, and ensuring that all e-mails conform to the user’s designated e-mail security policies. By providing their service remotely, BlackSpider prevents e-mails from descending on the corporate network and clogging bandwidth and storage space, so ensuring high margins and constant availability for its customers.
“We needed a distributor which is firmly established in the Middle East, and has gained an excellent reputation for its knowledge and proactivity across the region,” said John Cheney, CEO at BlackSpider.
“We think that Tech Access ticks both these boxes, and the company’s range of high-profile existing partners provides credibility and coverage which will only reflect well on BlackSpider.”
Tech Access has earned its contract with BlackSpider through sound channel coverage across the Middle East, and a network of resellers ideally-suited to launching BlackSpider across the region.
BlackSpider’s security service is currently priced according to the number of e-mail inboxes on the user’s network. Such a flexible price plan requires a distributor with contacts that cover a wide range of size and demand, and Tech Access’ extensive list of clients satisfies this requirement.
“The fact that BlackSpider provides a service-based, rather than a product-based solution to the problem of Internet security represents a clear challenge to us, as we will need to conduct a diligent education campaign to raise awareness of the benefits of an outsourced security system,” Kamran Hussain, vice president of sales and marketing at Tech Access.
“This is a challenge we find particularly exciting, as it veers away from all the other solutions we have previously distributed.”
