The new Sony notebook

Introducing its new VAIO T-Series notebook PCs, Sony says they were designed to have stamina power and a smart size for the mobile professional.

“The 1.38 kg, compact and lightweight T-series VAIO notebooks, are ideal for active lifestyles, and geared for switching from compiling data to DVD playback with the simple touch of a button,” it said in a statement.
“The VAIO T-Series notebook builds on Sony’s expertise in packing big-time capabilities into small, beautiful packages,” said Dharmendra Lalai, senior manager, IT marketing division for Sony Gulf FZE. “The perfect mobile companion, it will keep you productive and entertained while inspiring envy anywhere you go.
“The new model line blends style and stamina into a trim textured metal alloy casing of midnight blue. Entertainment playback buttons on the unit’s hinge are conveniently exposed whether the machine is open or closed and put the power to play, pause or rewind music or movies right at your fingertips.”
The optional DVD±RW drive expands the notebook’s data backup capability, allowing one to store on DVD up to seven times the information that can fit onto a standard CD. Sony’s exclusive application for one-click DVD burning, Click to DVD software, is included with this option.
“The built-in Dolby technology adds yet another dimension to presentations, movies or music whether you’re listening alone or presenting to a small group,” said Lalai.
Powered by Intel Centrino mobile technology, the notebook comes packed with integrated 802.11b/g wireless connectivity.
The T-Series is further augmented by a wealth of connectivity options, including two USB 2.0 ports, a Memory Stick PRO media slot, and an i.Link (IEEE 1394) digital interface for speedy, no-hassle transfer of digital content among a universe of compatible products.
