GC Marine Yachts and Boats has achieved sales of $5 million at the recently held Dubai International Boat Show, following major deals with buyers from France, Malta, the UAE and other markets in the Gulf region.

The four-day show, organised by Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), took place at the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) in March.
“The response we received at the Dubai International Boat Show has far exceeded our expectations,” said GC Marine Yachts and Boats chairman Jamal Al Shaali.
“We sold five Adora 38 luxury boats and three fishing boats to buyers from France, six Seabus 40 to a company in Dubai and one Adora 53 to a buyer from Kuwait, while buyers from Malta bought two Seabus 53.
“In addition, we also sold 34 luxury and fishing boats to buyers from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE and Azerbaijan.
“This was a very fruitful exhibition for us, both in terms of sales as well as publicity for our entire range of offerings.”
Further, GC Marine finalised deals with a Saudi Arabian national to build a 100-foot yacht and another deal with a Belgian agent to supply five luxury yachts.
The Dubai International Boat Show attracted thousands of visitors from around the world.
The 40,000 sq m exhibition area accommodated 440 exhibitors from 30 countries, in addition to 85 berths for boats ranging from 39 ft to over 200 ft, making it the premier networking event for buyers.
GC Marine is setting up a new 12,500 sq m manufacturing unit in order to meet the increasing demand for boats and yachts in the region.
The company has received the European Conformity (CE) marking which indicates that the product complies with all European product directives. It is a member of the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) and the Arab Marine Industries Association (AMIA) and was recently awarded the TUV CERT ISO 9001: 2000 certification.
“The boat show provided us with the required platform to target potential buyers from around the world,” said Al Shaali.
“We are very satisfied with the outcome of the exhibition and it fulfilled our key business goals.  The high profile visitors and exhibitors at the event also facilitated networking at the highest level and allowed us to explore business opportunities to the fullest.
