Reynaers Middle East, which recently set up its headquarters in Bahrain, has already secured one of its initial batches of projects by providing its curtain wall variant CW 50-HL for Ajman University’s multi-purpose hall through Becon Aluminium.
The project required the delivery of two-sided structural glazed curtain walls with concealed open vents. The curtain wall facade has been designed to allow maximum light into the hall with its slim 50 mm sightlines, said Reynaers ME managing director Ali Khalaf.
“Recognising the advantages of utilising Reynaers’ aluminum system, Becon Aluminium awarded more projects to Reynaers for the five colleges of Ajman University. The materials are scheduled to be delivered in the first quarter of 2005,” he said.
Other projects include supplying aluminium systems for 32 villas and a 14-storey residential high rise in Sharjah.
In Bahrain, Reynaers’ aluminium system will be utilised in the development of Riffa Sports Club.
Giving details, Khalaf said: “The club’s new buildings will be fitted with a CW 50 variant for its curtain walls, CS 59 aluminium profiles for its doors and windows and Reynaers’ Brise Soleil system for sunscreen, which will provide aesthetic elegance to the building and a practical shading solution.”
For the local market, Reynaers Middle East has partnered with Abdul Aziz Aluminium for its fabricating requirements. “We are confident that RME projects and developments will be completed in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia before the second half of 2005,” Khalaf said.
Khalaf brings with him extensive experience in the aluminium industry. A highly qualified mechanical engineer by profession, he held several management functions with regional offices of other aluminium systems providers before forging a joint-venture business with Reynaers Aluminium.
Reynaers Aluminium, one of Europe’s market leaders in the development, commercialisation and distribution of high-quality aluminum systems for windows, doors sliding elements, curtain walls, conservatories and sunscreening systems, recognises the Middle East, particularly the Gulf Region, as currently one of the fastest developing markets in the world, said Khalaf.
Founded in 1965, Reynaers Aluminium is headquartered in Duffel, Belgium, and has an international presence in over 25 countries.
“Through permanent investments in research and development, Reynaers Aluminium regularly introduces innovative products that are rigorously tested as part of the development process to ensure that they meet, and often exceed, most European standards,” a Reynaers spokesman said. The Reynaers Institute, playing a vital role in the company’s research and development, serves as its knowledge centre and meeting place for customers, suppliers, architects, contractors and employees.
“Every part of the supply chain is regulated by very stringent quality controls,” says the spokesman. “In this way, Reynaers Aluminium is able to ensure that its systems fulfill all national and product-related technical endorsements. It also offers a 10-year system guarantee on aluminium, coating and anodisation, insulation and accessories. The company’s ISO 9002 certification guarantees that every order is processed efficiently from the time it is placed through to after-sales service.”
With a presence in over 25 countries, customers benefit from its strong and established logistics operations and can therefore avail themselves of rapid delivery of inventoried stocks through its various distribution centres.
