The International Small and Medium Enterprises Conference and Exhibition (ISME Dubai) drew a big response with more than 300 delegates participating in the event from outside the UAE alone.
It was held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Public Works, at the JW Marriot Hotel.
“We have been overwhelmed by the tremendous response to the event,” said Khalid Al Kassim, Deputy Director General, Department of Economic Development (DED). “The conference was held for the first time in the region and sought to focus on the significance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and their increasing contribution to economies.
The event was organised by Seagull Exhibitions and Conferences under the umbrella of the DED. It was supported by international and regional SME organisations such as the World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (WASME), International Networking for Small and Medium Enterprises (INSME) and the Council for Arab Business Women (CABW). It also received the sponsorship of the Al Tomooh programme.
