Advanced Electronics Company (AEC), a major economic offset company involved in the production of military and commercial electronics, has signed a SR16.5 million ($4.5 million) contract with Solectron Corporation under which the Riyadh-based firm will build 200,000 circuit boards for export.

The end-user for these boards will be LM Ericsson, which earlier signed a contract with AEC for a job on the GSM Expansion Project 4 contract.

AEC president and CEO Abdulaziz Al Sugair said the involvement of AEC in the project will enhance the capability at AEC and enable it to participate in a larger way in STC's future expansions.
