

A new partnership that Eastern Morris Cranes Co has forged with Stahl CraneSystems allows Eastern Morris to be a leading supplier of the entire Stahl product range in the Saudi market and provider of spares and after sales services.
“Stahl CraneSystems delivers premium products which are highly innovative due to expertise from decades of fundamental research and technical development,” the company said in an introductory letter to customers.
Stahl’s product range extends from electrical chain hoists to overhead cranes with 160 tonne SWL. As well as its standard range, Stahl is a leading supplier of off-standard hoists and a specialist supplier of explosion-protected chain hoists, wire rope hoists and winches for gas and dust environments.
“The new partnership with Eastern Morris Cranes will sustain the strategic commitment to delivering excellent products supported by outstanding services to the Saudi market,” Stahl said.
Eastern Morris Cranes is a joint venture formed in 2000 between Morris Material Handling, UK, and Zamil Group Holding. The company manufactures bridge, overhead, gantry, jib, explosion-proof, Goliath and semi-Goliath cranes and monorails along with custom-engineered systems with capacities up to 150 tonnes and spans up to 150 ft. It has manufacturing space of 5,000 sq m and sales and services offices are located in Dammam, Riyadh, Jubail, Jeddah, Bahrain and Qatar.
Sales in the first half of this year were approximately SR35 million ($9.3 million) against SR48.9 million for the whole of 2010. The company has appointed two sales agents one in Muscat, Oman (Building Steel System) and the other in Amman, Jordan (ITCC). It is currently targeting Iraq for business.
Eastern Morris is an accredited supplier to all major companies and government enterprises in Saudi Arabia and the GCC region. It was awarded the ISO:2008 certificate for quality management systems.
