A RasGas installation
International Gulf Trading Company (IGTC)-Chubb Fire Qatar, a specialist in fire safety equipment and security solutions, has started delivering to RasGas a wide range of fire safety tools. The delivery will take place over a five year period. The equipment comprises safety products and personal protective equipment (PPE) made by both Scott Health & Safety and Bristol Uniforms, international leaders in the fire safety field. The items include helmets, breathing apparatus, air cylinders, facemasks, fireman’s boots, flash hoods, fireman’s coats and trousers, coveralls and rescue hooks. Under the terms of the contract, IGTC-Chubb Fire Qatar will provide a 24 hours per day, 7 days a week support service to RasGas. Rami Batrawi, general manager of IGTC-Chubb Fire Qatar, said protecting firefighters against the hazards found in any gas or petroleum environment necessitates the provision of the very best available equipment.
