New EEF line to boost efficiency

An automatic packaging line has been installed at Emirates Extrusion Factory (EEF) to boost operational efficiency and meet rising demand for the extruded aluminium.

The line was purchased from EMMEBI-Italy, a leading global supplier of packing and polishing technology.

With that installation, EEF can reach a packing output of 1,500 tonnes per month. “This will put the company in a good position to satisfy increasing demand for high-quality packing,” said its managing director Khalfan Al Suwaidi, in his comments.

“At Emirates Extrusion, we realise that a proactive approach to technology is crucial to maintaining our competitive edge, and we constantly invest in the latest technology in order to increase our business efficiency and improve product quality,” said Al Suwaidi.

“The new automatic packing line will streamline our operational processes and dramatically increase productivity, allowing us to achieve significant cost and time savings and placing us comfortably. More importantly, it will improve our business readiness and allow us to meet rising customer demand.”

The automatic packing line is expected to double EEF’s wrapping output and significantly improve the handling of baskets and trolleys, removing packing-related bottlenecks and allowing materials to be safely handled and packed, the official said.

“It will also eliminate the need to store profiles in bundles and pallets for long periods and, significantly, help to improve the overall presentation of the finished profiles.”
