Rezaei: waiting period reduced

Sunrise Metal Coating, described as the GCC’s largest and most advanced metal coil coating plant, has been set up in Dubai.

“There is a huge demand for pre-painted coils in the region,” says Abdul-Samad Rezaei, chairman of the company.  “The UAE market requirement alone is estimated to be 12,000 tonnes per month, which amounts to a monthly turnover of approximately $30 million. With a production capacity of 144,000 tonnes per year, we are confident of gaining over 25 per cent of the market share within our first year of operation.”
Built at a cost of Dh500 million ($136.1 million), the 30,000 sq m plant is located at Dubai Investments Park. “We have the latest machinery and equipment from Italy which gives us a cutting edge in the pre-painted coil industry,” says Rezaei. The production line itself is 150 m in length and fully computerised, enabling the company to produce 18 tonnes of material in just one hour.
Sun Rise Metal Coating specialises in the latest coil-coating techniques and prides itself in producing world-class pre-painted coils of aluminium and AluZinc with polyester, PVDF and PU top coats in glossy, matt and metallic finishes. These pre-painted coils are widely used in external and internal cladding, roofing profiles, metal ceilings and insulated panels for cold storages, among other things.  Additionally the pre-painted coils are used to manufacture consumer items such as refrigerators, washing machines, computers, gas stoves and other home appliances. The company is introducing its pre-painted coils under the brand name Alvan (SR), meaning ‘rainbow colours.’  The different RAL colours make Alvan (SR) more appealing. “Our aim at Sunrise Metal Coating is to offer products of the highest quality at unbeatable prices with the ultimate customer service,” said Rezaei.
Due to the high demand of pre-painted coils, there has always been a shortage in the market. Rezai said that while previously customers had to wait for three to four weeks for their supplies, the new plant would reduce the waiting period. He said there was strong interest in the Middle East and other Asian and European markets in the company’s projects.
Rezaei said the company was looking at installing another production line with a higher capacity and a rolling mill.
