Globalpharma, Dubai's first pharmaceutical manufacturing company and a subsidiary of Dubai Investments Industries, recently hosted a tour of its manufacturing facilities for  60 leading physicians from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Libya  and Lebanon.

The tour was meant to showcase Globalpharma’s world-class standards of pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality assurance system.
The factory tour was followed by a symposium with the theme of “Quality Healthcare—the Global Way” at the Marriott Courtyard in Dubai.
Welcoming the doctors, Shukri Al Mehairi, general manager of Dubai Investment Industries, said Globalpharma was a strategically important subsidiary of Dubai Investments. “We are proud to have this sophisticated modern pharmaceutical plant as part of our group. We are very ambitious and eager to grow in this competitive market with our high-quality products.” he added.

Commencing commercial operations in 2003, Globalpharma’s operations are divided into three areas: manufacturing and marketing its own brands that total more than 60 products; manufacturing and marketing the products of multi-national pharmaceutical companies through licensing; and contract manufacturing products for other companies.
