The Dakheel Al Jasssar (DAJ) Group has developed two lines of manufacturing over the past 40 years, one making electrical items and the other producing steel bodies for vehicles and steel structures.

The electrical items are manufactured by Dakheel AlJassar Electrical Industries, which was the first company in the group, having been established in 1966.  The product profile covers every need in switch gear for the low voltage electrical power distribution system, its range extending from final distribution boards to main panel boards for transformers.  The company stresses that its products comply with the specifications and standards laid down by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), British Standards Institution (BSI) and Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW).
Facilities and equipment at the plant include the latest CNC turret punch press, CNC press brakes, hydraulic press brakes, shearing machines and eccentric presses as well as an electrostatic powder coating plant and equipment for tin and zinc coating.
According to a group spokesman, raw material is procured from internationally reputed companies to ensure there is no degradation of quality. Electrical components used in the switchboards are from leading companies such as Cutler-Hammer, Crabtree and Moeller, all of whom it represents in the area.
“Dakheel Aljassar Electrical Industries is now acknowledged as one of Kuwait’s leading electrical switchboard manufacturers, an enviable position achieved mainly by a strategy aimed at producing quality equipment satisfying customers’ precise needs,” the spokesman commented.
Its customers in Kuwait are a wide-ranging lot and include offices of ministries, housing projects for the National Housing Authority at Sabah, Al-Salem, Ardiya and Fintas; multi-storeyed residential complexes including those at Latifa Galleries and Gazwa Towers, and buildings in the Kuwait Free Trade Zone.
Other projects it has supplied to include the Joint Banking Centre, the Jumbo hangar, hotels such as SAS, Kuwait Regency Palace, Hilton Resorts at Mangaf and a number of schools.
The company has also supplied to MEW’s electrical projects.

Hayakeel Steel Industries
The company manufactures bodies for tippers and trailers as well as being engaged in fabricating tanks, containers and cement silos, among other things. The company also undertakes maintenance and servicing for road blockers. According to the spokesman, the company has been able to gain the trust of its customers by the assurance of quality products delivered at competitive rates.
One of the new products Hayakeel introduced was the stainless steel road tanker, designed and fabricated to meet the requirements of the transportation of portable water. The tank is fitted with a discharge pump and the valves conform to SS316L.
Another product it introduced in recent months for the construction industry was the bitumen sprayer. The bitumen tank is equipped with a burner and sprayer.
The company provided a list of some of the supplies it made: Oil tankers for Iraq; Stainless steel tankers for the US Army at Nassriya, South of Iraq;  lorries – US Army (various contractors); fuel tanker built to Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) specifications (Al Ajmi Partners); lorries for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior; flat bed trailers for Copri Construction and flat bed container carrier for Refrigeration Industries Co.
Other supplies include soft drink vans for Kuwait National Bottling Co and RTC;  cleaning equipment for National Cleaning Co; tippers for Shaheen AlGhanim; tippers and tipping trailers for Tanzifco; concrete mixers for Fadhala Co and Al Arabi Co; a bitumen tank for Mushrif Trading and fuel tanks built to KNPC specifications for Behzad Group and Al Hamadah Co.
The list also says Hayakel built a safety room of 25 sq m for Al Saif Palace.
Also in the DAJ Group are Dakheel Aljassar Establishment, which trades in electrical and mechanical products; Al Manara Trading and Contracting Company, which provides solutions and products as a representative of well known brands in telecommunications, networking and security systems, and Kitchen & Kitchen Establishment,which is in the business of designing kitchens.
The DAJ Group partners with Turkey’s Teknotes Technological Plants Co, which has successfully completed construction and erection of industrial plants.
